I was looking for a poster as a gift for someone over Christmas- and wasn't successful in finding the band I was looking for. In my search, thanks to my good friend Haley I found this awesome website. BEAUTIFUL silkscreen posters of all your favorite bands. I want to get these 2, and frame them side by side. Apart from adoring Mates of State- i think they are just cute!

brunch

I'm way into brunch. I think it's my favorite meal. Because I work everyday from 9 to 6, I don't get to eat that meal except for on the weekends. For the past 6 weeks I've been having brunch every Sunday with a friend of mine. We switch off going to each other's houses and making yummy food. Last week we invited a few other people to join and had a regular old feast. Tofu scrambler, homemade biscuits, apple crisp, and pineapple..yum! Valentine's Day is a day that some people hate- and other people love. I don't think there is anything to hate about it. Its just another day- with some emphasis on love. Im into that. After taking a day off work (being sick) I was swamped/crazy busy all day trying to play catch up. I got home at a decent time- lit some candles and curled up with my book.

My b came over and we hung out for a bit- and then he gave me the bestest gift ever! my very own bowling shoes- and they are TOO CUTE! How does he do it? I think he is part magical. Please drool- and yes, you can be jealous..

Polaroid

Last week Polaroid announced that they will no longer be producing instant photo film. I hadn't even noticed, but they stopped making polaroid cameras last year. I really can't imagine a world without polaroids. There is nothing else like it! Check out PC World for a more indepth story.

Sad day.

traveling

I love love love to travel. Its always exciting to get out of your space, and be somewhere else for a time. It’s even more awesome when you go somewhere new! I will be traveling a lot over the next month; to some places Ive been a thousand times, and a new place too.

Next week I am going back to California to surprise visit my best friend, and her daughter who happens to be named Lana too! (why yes, after me!) Ive shared before, but she is just too precious to not share again!




I will be home for 4 days and then I leave for Iceland. My co-worker went there last fall, and had the most BEAUTIFUL pictures, and ever since I've wanted to go. Northern Lights, geo-thermal pools, beautiful landscapes- what more could you want? My b just happened to be planning a trip there, and he so kindly asked if I would like to join to which I said "Of course!!". Away we go..

boots!

I've been searching and looking and debating over what boots to buy for the past month and a half. I wanted winter boots, that were warm and waterproof, but not the huge bulky kind. I liked Sorels, some one off brands I found, but finally settled on the Skerry Vinter Boot from Tretorn. I spotted them on my friend Stacey and have been on the hunt for them since. I made the purchase last night on Zappo's, and they got here today! (I love free over night shipping!) Im excited to wear them in Iceland!
