Kyaraben

My bff lives in Japan, and so I get to learn about all sorts of cool and fun Japanese culture. When I saw her in February, she was telling me all about "Bento", which is simply a single portion meal. Kids take bento for lunch. Bento is normally arranged in a cute way, and there is even an art form, called Kyaraben which is very elaboratly decorated Bento. Here are some of my favorites:

So in case you all are completely oblivious- i love cupcakes. I love eating them, making them, looking at them, drawing them, getting a tattoo of them...etc etc. I have this handy dandy cupcake courier that everytime I use, I get a million questions and compliments about. I figured I would share it here, so that you too can have your very own cupcake courier!

dear God

There is a new website, Dear God, that encourages and welcomes people of all faiths and religions to share their hopes, concerns, frustrations, joys and confessions. Its non-denominational, and you reveal these things in the form of a prayer to whatever your "god" may be. I like the togetherness of it all.

The exhibit is @ the Brooklyn Museum . Here are a few of my favorite images from Murakami/Kaikai Kiki. (His art production company)

And remember when Marc Jacobs worked for Louis Vuitton? He did a collaboration with Murakami, to which you might remember these:
