I've been wanting a feather tattoo for awhile, and I think i want it on my foot. Like all of my tattoos..its not for any particular reason, i just like pretty things. I was googling some feathers, to get ideas/inspiration. I luckily have the best tattoo artist ever who can draw amazingly from my descriptions. Which ones do you like?

she & him

I love She & Him. They are playing tonight in Philly- and I am not going. But! My co-worker Jeff shared their new video with me. I think it is fantastic. DAF.

Why do I love my job so much? There are many reasons, but one of them is that I get to make waffles in the morning if I want to.





Bryana, Haley and I made waffles last Friday. They were delicious! Oh- and "I'm going going, back back, to cali cali is playing right now." How ironic.

I'm going to be in LA in 11 days for just the weekend. I'm flying in for a dear friend of mine's grand opening of his new LA store. I of course had to get a new dress for the oh so special event, and found this beautiful dress @ Petulia's Folly in center city. It's by Jovovich & Hawk. The color here looks a little more pale than it really is. I'm SO excited to wear it!



Their whole line is beautiful, and I wish I could have it all! Phillip Lim's Summer line is also beautiful. Do yourself a favor, and check out his whole collection. If I could dress in one designer for a whole season, it would be his.

cowgirl carnival

At work, we like to honor co-worker's birthdays with celebrations all about them. You better believe on my birthday I got a cupcake party! Bryana's birthday was today, and she loves cowgirls and carnivals, so thats the party she got. I made those cowgirl cupcakes I was talking about a few posts down, and here they are!



My dear friend Johnny's birthday is today too. I'm so proud of him. I get to see him out in LA in 46 days.

As you know, I really like to bake. I've been trying to do shaped cakes for awhile now, and have been pretty happy with the turnout so far. I'd like to get the technique down better though. Tomorrow I'm trying cowgirl cupcakes!

Falling Off

I’ve noted before to my b that I don't prefer riding bikes home from an outing with him, because then I don't get my good night kiss. I turn off on my street, and he rides on to his.

Because he is thebestever, he's started to stop, so I get my kiss.

Last night, he slowed down, and hinted that I try kissing him while we were both still riding..going pretty slow, I tried convincing him it wasn't possible, and that I would fall. He didn't give in, so to appease him, I slowed down reaaaal slow, leaned over..got a kiss, and lost my balance. Because I was so close to his bike, my feet couldn't find the ground, so I fell off my bike, onto his, and was stuck between our bikes on the ground. I felt pretty silly, but laughed because it was funny.

I bruised my elbow, and hurt my toe..but smiled because my b likes me.

Trust

Trust and Faith are funny things. I've been thinking about both of them lately. What do they mean, and how do they play out in my life? Why do I have faith, in who/what do I have faith? Who do I trust, and what makes me trust them? I typically give everyone I meet a 100%, and depending on our experience together, it can go down from there. When it does go down..it takes awhile to get it back up. Sometimes it will never get back up.

At some point trusting someone else has little to do with that person, and more to do with how much I'm willing to deal with, and put myelf through. I like to protect myself, but I don't think I can truly get to know people, and live in other's lives without making myself vulnerable to being let down and hurt. Above all what makes me continue to trust people is I know God is there, when I've fallen, or been let down. He is there, and I can always trust Him.

Month o June

Lots of fun things happened this month. I went camping with a group of friends, went to my b's grandma's wedding, went to NYC for a weekend, lots of bbq's, bike rides, hang outs and all together great summer fun. 4th of July is this weekend, which is absolutely way more fun in Philly than anywhere else I've ever lived! Im excited for the long weekend. Haley and I installed our "Man Wall", which looks amazing. When does Summer technically end, and when does it end personally to you?

I went to the Brooklyn Museum when I was in NY to see the Takashi Murakami exhibit. I wasn't allowed to take pictures in the exhibit, but this was outside. It was really awesome to see one of my favorite artists work like that.
