Mid Century Rambler built in 1966 (3 Bdrm/ 2 Bath)

Kitchen was updated in the 90's, looking forward to renovating that some day. We tore that cabinet down above the sink to open it up a bit more, 

The den is the only room we left carpet in because underneath is some green linoleum. We tore out the built in cabinet on the back wall.

Our lot is 1 acre and there is a garden shed, a green house and some raised beds as well as 2 carports in front! We painted everything Polar Bear white by Behr paints. 

If you follow me on Instagram, then you've likely seen pictures and stories of our house. We're coming up on 2 years of owning/living here and it's been such a slow process of working through projects to get it where we want it to be (with a million more on the list!) These photos are from the listing, so exactly what we saw when we came to tour it. We used Redfin, which made it incredibly easy to search for homes, save them and schedule tours all within the app. They also don't charge commission when you buy, and instead take a portion of the normal 3% you would pay an agent and give it back to you as a refund to use towards closing costs or whatever you want!

This was the second house we toured and I knew the second we saw it that it was special. I've always had crazy intuition with big life decisions like this (I knew I was going to marry Rich the day I met him!) We got our affairs in order and put in an offer. We also included a letter from us to the owners (who we got to meet on a whim during our tour!).

There were a handful of offers submitted and it came down to us and one other couple. They technically offered more money than we did, but the terms of our sale were better (our lender could close in less than 3 weeks! We waived the inspection!) AND they L O V E D the meat pies we left them from my dad's bakery. (They are an older English couple and my dad makes English pastries!) They accepted our offer and we closed 2.5 weeks later. We tore all the carpet out and all the old window treatments as well as the cabinet above the sink in the kitchen and the glass doors in the guest bath. Once that was all done we moved in!
